To advice raise awareness about discrimination against inhabitants with mental illness, the Wyoming agency of hardiness is inviting residents with relevant personal actuality to participate in a December 3 public hearing in Cheyenne.

“We appetite society who have encountered discrimination as of mental illness to share their personal stories and describe the impact on themselves and their families,” said Rodger McDaniel, Wyoming arena of vigor deputy director for mental bloom and substance abuse services.

A “listening panel” with hoveringplane representatives of various state agencies will participate and a formal record of the proceedings is planned.

“Consumers should distinguish their testimony matters,” McDaniel said. “In augmentation to counting awareness of mental robustnessinterwoven discrimination, we surmise to use the network we gather to enroot a plan our branch can use to balm address the issue.”

The meeting is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room of the Laramie County Library (2200 Pioneer Avenue) in Cheyenne.
